There is a short flight of stairs in The Wesley Centre to reach our consultation rooms, so please let us know if mobility is restricted so that we can look at alternative arrangements.

Getting there and parking: The Wesley Centre is a few minutes walk from the train station in Malton. 

There is free parking for up to two hours in the central market place just off Saville Street, or the nearest car parking otherwise is in Wentworth Street, a few minutes walk away.

Consultation fees:

• Initial informal chat : no cost

This is an opportunity for a 15-20 minute chat on the phone and for you to tell us what brings you to therapy, what you are hoping to change or get out of therapy and to ask any questions that you might have.

• 60 minute appointment - £85

• 90 minute appointment - £125

Because Human Givens therapy is a solution-focussed approach to therapy we aim to make significant progress over a short number of sessions, typically four to six, rather than anticipating a long-term approach to treatment. 

We recommend booking a 90 minute appointment for your first session. This will give us and opportunity to explore in more depth what brings you to therapy and start looking at specific techniques that will help you achieve your goals. if you prefer an initial 60 minute appointment, that’s absolutely fine too.

Follow-up appointments can either be 60 or 90 minute in duration. This will depend on a number of factors, including your preference, and also the type of work we are planning to do. For example, a 90 minute session is generally recommended for certain specific techniques we might use, such as The Rewind Technique, a very effective and powerful intervention used in trauma management.
