Ruth Longworth-Zurcher

I have always been fascinated by what it means to be human and how our individuality, temperament and experiences shape who we are today.

Although we cannot change the past, we can find new ways of living with it. We can heal from wounds and reclaim our ability to navigate life’s challenges in a way that makes us feel safe and in control, allowing us to feel so much better.

Most of the time we manage to do the above without external help. However, sometimes, the past, present or future can feel so overwhelming that we can become stuck or too unwell to cope by ourselves. It is at these times that an external perspective and support can be hugely beneficial in helping us get back on track.
As a Human Givens therapist I work from a compassionate, evidence based and solution orientated approach. I believe that you are the expert on yourself and working with your goals will allow you to quickly begin to feel better.

David Longworth

I graduated in Medicine in Edinburgh in 1985 and have enjoyed working almost forty years as a doctor in a variety of specialities, mostly General Practice within the NHS.

Having also worked in a number of acute surgical and emergency medicine settings, and in community-based palliative care, I have had the privilege of accompanying many people through some of the most difficult challenges of their lives.

Being human means that we can all get entangled or feel lost within our own lives at various times. My hope is to provide accompaniment during these difficult transitions, to help you find a way back to being yourself again and enjoying the spaciousness of a fulfilling life.
